Endodontics (Root Canal Procedures)

Endodontics is a specialist treatment of the inside of the tooth, including tooth enamel and nerve pulp. When tooth decay is left untreated, it will spread deeper into the teeth causing the tooth pulp tissue to die and lead to the loss of the tooth.

  • Root canal therapy: Sometimes an abscess or infection below the tooth can cause unbearable pain. A small opening is created in the tooth to reach the infected area, cleared and sealed. A crown is placed onto the tooth.

  • Internal tooth bleaching: After endodontic treatment the teeth can become devitalized and stained from the blood and other fluids. The root area is cleaned with peroxide gel which whitens the teeth from the inside.

  • Endodontic retreatment: Saliva contamination, complicated canals, delayed crown placements are all various complications why the tooth hasn’t healed and a retreatment needs to be performed.
